We are always in need of volunteers! Please consider giving a couple hours of your time whether it's helping during the planning stages (NOW) or the day we welcome our Longboarders back to Blaine!!
We welcome not only the longboarders back but we also welcome volunteers and would welcome your help!! Please consider signing up! It promises to make for an excellent day!
There will be lots of food and beverages available for all. Feel free to bring a food item to share and don't forget your lawn chair or blanket! There will be plenty to do that will keep the kids busy!!
It has come to our attention that there is a large amount of support and fundraisers for struggles such as cancer and world hunger which are amazing things to support. However one difficulty people face every day that is easily overlooked with little awareness is depression, which affects countless people every day. So to raise awareness about depression we are going to longboard 150 miles from Duluth to Blaine Minnesota, from June 21-23rd, 2019. Depression can have many cures, but we feel that one of the most effective cures is to talk about it and so in addition to our 150 mile trip we are spreading awareness face to face with friends and family, social network sites, and fundraising with Save. This trip will not be easy, but it is for a great cause. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Depression is a treatable medical illness marked by changes in the mood, thoughts and behavior that affects more than 23 million Americans each year. It is the most common serious brain disease in the United States. SAVE's mission is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce stigma and serve as a resource for those touched by suicide.
Thank you for supporting our cause,
