In January 2021, the world lost Jordyn Clark to suicide. She was a champion in all definitions of the word - an advocate for social change, a warrior on the soccer field, a powerful feminist, and a champion for mental health awareness. It's now time to channel that infectious spirit and energy into running 13.1 miles in her memory.
Empowering the next generation through sports has always been a huge part of my life - and was what brought Jordyn and I together both on and off the soccer field. As we all continue to look for ways to raise awareness and educate our community - including athletes - about mental health and suicide, I am proud to join team SAVE for The 2022 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon as part of Grandma's Marathon Weekend in Duluth, MN.
